Job summary

UNC Health in Chapel Hill is seeking a skilled Neurodiagnostic Technologist to perform EEG, EMG, NCV, SEPs and polysomnographic testing across clinical settings, including the lab, bedside, and OR. You will oversee and mentor other technologists in the department.

The role emphasizes leadership, patient instruction, and ongoing staff education while contributing to the advancement of neurodiagnostic services and research initiatives within a state-of-the-art epilepsy center.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years in Sleep Medicine.
• Expertise in advanced techniques (daytime scoring, Inspire titration, airway studies, home sleep studies, ASVs, oral appliance titration, ventilator studies).
• Letter of recommendation from a peer, supervisor, and medical director.

Responsibilities

• Perform EEG, EMG, NCV, SEPs and polysomnographic testing with possible CPAP/oxygen therapy.
• Set up rooms and equipment; calibrate and maintain instruments.
• Read and score neurodiagnostic tests; obtain patient histories.
• Instruct patients and families on test preparation and follow-up.
