Job summary

UNC Health Care in Raleigh, NC is seeking a Neurodiagnostic Technician to perform standard and complex EEG, EMG, NCV, evoked potentials, and polysomnographic testing in the Clinical Neurophysiology Lab and the Sleep Disorders Lab. Work may take place in a lab, clinic, patient bedside, or operating room.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an acceptable program of Neurophysiology.
• Registry eligible for EEG, EP, CNIM, NCV, Polysomnography, RST.

Responsibilities

• Performs diagnostic patient testing EEG, EMG, NCV, EP and polysomnography with CPAP as applicable.
• Sets up rooms and equipment in hospital rooms, ORs or clinics; calibrates and maintains equipment.
• Reads and scores neurodiagnostic and polysomnographic tests.
• Takes patient histories; provides instructions to patients and families regarding test preparation and follow-up.
