Job summary

The University of California, Berkeley is seeking a Network Security Video Engineer Lead to serve as the technical lead for enterprise security video services and related infrastructure.

You will install, maintain, and troubleshoot security video systems, coordinate with cross-functional teams, and support projects and upgrades while ensuring reliable and secure video operations for campus users.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent experience.
• Genetec Omnicast Advanced Administrator (preferred).
• Genetec Security Center Enterprise Certification (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Lead security video team; coordinate with stakeholders; ensure timely incident response.
• Coordinate with project and construction teams on timelines and resources.
• Evaluate customer needs; manage access controls and mappings; update camera mappings.
• Lead design reviews, install audits, and validation for large developments; advise external designers.
• Troubleshoot complex issues across data, video access networks, and electronics.
• Install, maintain, and decommission security cameras and supporting infrastructure.
• Identify training opportunities; participate in cross-functional discussions and activities.
• Provide first point of contact for after-hours video issues.
