Job summary

Black & Veatch is seeking a senior cybersecurity architect to lead the network security design for critical infrastructure clients. You will provide technical leadership across the full project lifecycle, from pursuit development to operational transition, focusing on secure, resilient IP networks and segmentation.

You will mentor staff, develop standards, and collaborate with Industrial Cybersecurity Services while aligning with project budgets and schedules.

Qualifications

• Minimum 8+ years of relevant experience in network cybersecurity, penetration testing, or cyber assessments.
• Strong understanding of networking fundamentals including routing, switching, segmentation, and firewalls.
• Hands-on experience with network cybersecurity solutions such as firewalls, IDS/IPS, NAC, secure remote access, zero trust network architectures, SIEM, etc.

Responsibilities

• Lead network cybersecurity assessments including vulnerability assessments, risk evaluations, and architecture reviews.
• Develop detailed technical reports documenting findings, risk impacts, and remediation actions.
• Support adversarial testing and security validation efforts, including red team-style exercises where applicable.
• Collaborate with teams to evaluate and secure SCADA, DCS, and industrial network architectures.
• Lead implementation of cybersecurity network infrastructure solutions and deployment of security technologies.
