LEAD NETWORK OPERATIONS ENGINEER

As Lead for the Starlink Network Operations Engineering Team, you will be a part of designing and operating one of the largest networks in the galaxy.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Responsible engineer for the overall ISP network design, implementation and operation
2. Leading the Network Operations Team
3. Clear planning of project stages and identify critical milestones
4. Assist with recruiting, coaching and/or developing organizational talent
5. Maintain the uptime and performance of the network
6. Manage network interconnections, network collocation sites and points of presence

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

1. 10+ years of industry experience operating global networks
2. 5+ years leading and managing teams
3. Bachelor of Science degree in engineering

PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

1. Ability to lead and grow team members
2. Able to create documentation and procedures for the team
3. Deep understanding of carrier networks including:

• Routing (BGP, OSPF, etc.)
• Subscriber Management (BNG)
• Anti-DDoS
• Internet Services (DNS, DHCP, NTP, etc.)
• Mobile IP

Possessing Cisco, Juniper or other industry certifications

Previous exposure to contract negotiations & vendor relationship management

Network peering, Content delivery networks, Data centers and collocation

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

1. Must be willing to travel globally
2. Must be available to work extended hours and weekends as needed
