Job Overview

SpaceX is seeking a Lead Network Operations Engineer (Starlink) to lead and inspire a team of engineers working on high-speed broadband network infrastructure. Be part of a revolutionary project to bring internet access to every corner of the planet.

Responsibilities

1. Lead a team of network operations engineers to develop, implement, and scale Starlink network connectivity.
2. Plan and oversee the physical build-out of POP racks and infrastructure.
3. Contribute to capacity planning, forecasting, and expansion strategies.
4. Develop and enforce cabling standards, rack layouts, and documentation.
5. Coordinate troubleshooting and diagnostics with SRE and data center teams.
6. Manage a 24/7 on-call rotation for infrastructure support and troubleshooting.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or related fields, or 2+ years of relevant experience.
• Proficiency in Python, SQL, or bash scripting.
• Experience with modern networking protocols (TCP/IPv4/IPv6, voice, video, streaming).
• At least 1 year in a managerial or team lead role.

Preferred Skills and Experience

• 3+ years in network operations or infrastructure.
• Experience with service provider and home network technologies.
• Knowledge of SDN, NFV, and industry certifications (e.g., CCNA).

Compensation & Benefits

Salary range: $130,000 - $180,000/year, commensurate with experience. Includes stock options, bonuses, comprehensive health coverage, 401(k), paid time off, and other perks.
