Job summary

Simon Indianapolis is seeking a Network Engineer to ensure stability and integrity of data, voice, video and wireless services across corporate and regional sites. You will lead technical vendor discussions, oversee design and deployment, and mentor junior staff.

The role requires CCNA (CCNP preferred), 7+ years in network design and operations, and hands-on experience with Cisco, Meraki and Fortinet appliances, SD-WAN and VOIP.

Qualifications

• University degree in computer science/electrical engineering or equivalent experience.
• CCNA minimum certification; CCNP preferred.
• Experience with SD-WAN, LAN/WAN/WLAN, VOIP, and security appliances.
• Experience with Fortinet FortiManager/Analyzer/EMS plus Fortinet fabric is a plus.
• Strong troubleshooting, research, and documentation skills.
• Knowledge of applicable data privacy practices and laws.

Responsibilities

• Manage a Cisco, Fortinet and Meraki infrastructure environment across malls, outlets, regional offices and Data Centers.
• Design, engineer, installation and maintenance of Data Center, Azure Cloud, SD-WAN, LAN/WAN, VOIP networks, security appliances, VPNs and wireless networks.
• Install, support and configure Cisco core routers and switches, Fortinet Firewalls and all necessary security applications.
• Monitor, evaluate, and resolve potential network performance issues; provide leadership to junior staff.
• Develop basic cost analyses and vendor comparisons to ensure cost-effective operations.
• Develop and maintain documentation related to installation, administration, and maintenance of network infrastructure.
• Monitor and test network performance and provide statistics and reports.
• Ensure changes are planned and implemented with low risk and without outages.
