Job summary

Apogee Engineering, LLC seeks a Lead Network Engineer to deliver Tier 2 support for high‑visibility executive airlift networks at Scott Air Force Base, Belleville, IL. You will design, implement, and operate LAN/WAN across unclassified and classified domains, maintaining security controls and STIG compliance in a demanding DoD environment.

Qualifications

• US citizenship is required
• Must have TS/SCI clearance and be able to maintain it
• DoDD 8140.03 Cyberspace Workforce Qualification and Management Program
• CompTIA Network+ certification
• Cisco CCNA certification
• Bachelor's Degree in a related field
• Eight years of experience in the discipline, including five years DoD experience
• Experience with SolarWinds software suites

Responsibilities

• Provide Network Tier 2 support to Senior Leader Command, Control, Communications Systems-Airborne (SLC3S-A) Operations and EACN assets
• Configure, implement, and support LAN/WAN infrastructure and data exchange requirements
• Identify and resolve performance issues and perform troubleshooting, upgrades, and replacements on EACN networks
• Attend meetings, forecast workload, and review installations for accuracy and conformance to standards
• Support and maintain EACN A2G2 hardware configuration and installation requirements
• Configure and maintain government-furnished monitoring and data analysis tools (ServiceNow, SolarWinds, Splunk) for real‑time statistics
• Report detailed compliance actions and changes to government engineers and ISSM
• Comply with USCYBERCOM/DISA/STIG guidelines and support AFNOC/NOD/NSD AFCERT regimes
