Job summary

Medasource is recruiting a Lead Network Engineer to support Providence Health's Network Lifecycle LaaS pilot in the Pacific Northwest. You will lead a four-person deployment crew, perform LAN switch replacements, migrations, and network cutovers, and troubleshoot deployment issues in real time.

The role requires on-site work for the 8-week pilot at Providence locations in OR/WA, with coordination to ensure successful validation and documentation of all changes.

Qualifications

• Hands-on enterprise network engineering experience.
• Experience installing, replacing, configuring, and migrating enterprise LAN switches.
• Demonstrated experience leading network cutovers.
• Strong Layer 2/Layer 3 networking fundamentals.
• Understanding of switching, VLANs, trunking, uplinks, and network connectivity.
• Experience supporting enterprise wireless access point deployments or replacements.
• Strong network troubleshooting and problem-resolution skills.
• Experience working within MDF/IDF and network-closet environments.
• Ability to work on-site for the 8-week pilot and coordinate field deployments.

Responsibilities

• Lead and provide technical direction to a four-person network deployment crew.
• Perform enterprise LAN switch replacements and migrations.
• Lead and oversee network cutover activities.
• Troubleshoot and resolve deployment issues in the field.
• Coordinate wireless access point replacement and validation activities.
• Oversee connectivity testing and post-deployment validation.
• Ensure documentation of network equipment, ports, and cabling.
• Coordinate with project leadership and manage technical risks.
