Job summary

Evolent is seeking a Lead Software Engineer to drive design and development of scalable healthcare applications. You will mentor engineers, lead SDLC efforts, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver secure, high-performance solutions.

The role emphasizes modernization, cloud-native architectures, and continued performance improvements within an Agile environment. Strong technical leadership and communication are essential.

Qualifications

• 6-8 years of software development experience.
• Strong hands-on experience with ASP.NET / .NET Core, C#, SQL Server, and Azure resources.
• Solid understanding of OOP, design patterns, and software engineering best practices.
• Experience in building scalable web applications and APIs.
• Experience with code reviews, CI/CD, and Git.
• Healthcare domain knowledge is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain enterprise-grade applications using ASP.NET MVC, Web Forms, .NET Core, C#, and SQL Server.
• Lead end-to-end SDLC including design, development, testing, and production support.
• Architect scalable and secure solutions applying design patterns and principles.
• Provide technical leadership, conduct design/code reviews, and ensure coding standards.
• Collaborate with product owners, QA, and stakeholders to deliver high-quality features.
• Drive performance optimization, troubleshooting, and root-cause analysis.
• Contribute to modernization initiatives including migration to cloud-native or microservices.
• Identify and recommend new technologies to improve performance and productivity.
• Participate in deployment, release management, and production stability improvements.
• Mentor junior engineers and build a strong engineering culture.
