Job summary

Precise Systems seeks an experienced Nondestructive (NDT) Evaluation Engineer Level III Lead to support NSWC Carderock with experimental design and trade-off studies. The role is onsite and requires in-person engagement.

You will provide technical review and consultation on NDT&E specifications, production processes, and design for manufacturability, applying NAVSEA and MIL/ASNT standards. A Secret clearance and U.S. citizenship are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Physics, or Mathematics from an accredited college or university.
• An advanced engineering degree can substitute for one year of experience (e.g., Master’s = 1 year, PhD = 2 years).
• Ten years of experience in NDT&E methods including visual, magnetic, dye penetrant, ultrasonic, radiographic, eddy current, UT phased array, RT, ET, and other listed techniques.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical review and consultation to RDT&E activities on adequacy of specification, production processes, material availability, dimensioning and tolerance, design, producibility and inspectability, standardization and manufacturing cost control techniques.
