Job summary

Pennoni in the Lehigh Valley area is seeking a Project Bridge Engineer to lead topside inspection teams and bridge inspection contracts. You will perform NBIS inspections across PA, NJ and surrounding states, and manage field teams, schedules, and client interfaces.

Responsibilities include preparing inspection reports with CADD sketches, ensuring safety standards, and contributing to design development during slower inspection periods.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Structural or Civil Engineering.
• PHYSICAL capability for field work and inclement weather.
• 8+ years NBIS bridge inspection experience with 2+ years PennDOT exposure.
• Pennsylvania PE license or equivalent is required (PA).
• NBIS/PennDOT leadership qualification is expected.

Responsibilities

• Lead NBIS bridge inspections and manage inspection teams.
• Coordinate bridge inspection task orders and interface with client/project managers.
• Prepare inspection reports with CADD sketches and soundings for client communications.
• Ensure compliance with NBIS and OSHA regulations during inspections.
• Travel to project locations as needed and collaborate on design development during slower periods.
