Job summary

Pennoni Associates Inc. is seeking a Project Bridge Engineer to lead topside inspection teams and NBIS inspections in our Lehigh Valley and Wyoming Valley offices. The role requires PE licensure in PA and NBIS/PennDOT team leadership with 8+ years of NBIS experience.

The candidate will manage inspection task orders, prepare reports with CAD sketches, and participate in design development during slower periods. Occasional travel and strong communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Structural or Civil Engineering.
• PE license required in Pennsylvania.
• NBIS and PennDOT Bridge Inspection Team Leader qualification.
• 8+ years NBIS bridge inspection experience with 2+ years PennDOT experience.
• Physically capable of field work in inclement weather.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead topside inspection teams and NBIS inspections in PA/NJ.
• Manage bridge inspection task orders and interface with client/project manager.
• Prepare inspection reports with CAD sketches and soundings.
• Participate in design development of transportation improvement and bridge projects during slower inspection periods.
• Ensure safety and compliance with NBIS and OSHA.
• Plan, schedule, and perform bridge inspections per owner requirements.
• Generate documentation with quality standards.
