Job summary

Camden Development, Inc. seeks an experienced Maintenance Supervisor to lead the multifamily maintenance team across our Tampa communities.

You will oversee repairs, the make‑ready process, and preventative maintenance while delivering a high level of resident service and safety compliance. The role requires 3+ years in maintenance, at least 1 year in apartment settings, and a proven supervisory background.

Qualifications

• High school diploma; some college or trade school preferred.
• Minimum 3 years general maintenance experience; at least 1 year of apartment maintenance experience.
• Previous supervisory experience is required.
• EPA certification Type I and II, or Universal and CAMT certification required.
• Must perform tile work, carpentry repairs, and all facets of the apartment make-ready process.
• Troubleshoot and repair HVAC, plumbing, electrical, appliances, pool/spa equipment and other systems.
• Must have certifications/permits by city/state to perform job responsibilities.
• Must have dependable transportation and be able to rotate on-call.
• Ability to work varied schedule including weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Supervise the maintenance team and schedule maintenance activities including make readies and service requests.
• Monitor and prioritize service requests; expedite emergencies as top priority.
• Communicate assignments and monitor workload to ensure timely completion.
• Coordinate, schedule, and perform preventative maintenance on community equipment.
• Manage make-ready process for vacant apartments and coordinate with vendors.
• Identify recurring issues and determine corrective actions with the team.
• Repair and replace appliances, plumbing, HVAC, electrical systems as needed.
• Document service requests and maintenance in OneSite system.
• Identify safety hazards and report to Community Manager.
• Assist with recruitment and interviewing of maintenance staff.
• Train and mentor maintenance staff; conduct safety audits.
• Maintain inventory and monitor maintenance budget; assist with annual budgets.
