Job summary

The Quest Organization Inc. is seeking a Construction Superintendent to lead capital improvement, renovation, and redevelopment projects across a multifamily portfolio in New York City.

This role oversees the full project lifecycle, ensuring on-time, on-budget delivery with minimal resident disruption. You will manage field operations, supervise subcontractors, and coordinate with owners, architects, and engineers to maintain schedules, budgets, and safety compliance across complex multifamily

Qualifications

• 5+ years of construction field supervision experience.
• Experience supervising subcontractors and coordinating trades.
• Ability to read and interpret architectural, structural, MEP drawings and construction documents.
• Experience developing construction schedules, monitoring progress and resolving field-level issues.
• Knowledge of building codes, OSHA standards, jobsite safety practices, and QC procedures.
• Experience with multifamily projects in NYC including permitting, inspections, and site logistics is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily field operations for multifamily construction projects from site prep to turnover.
• Schedule, direct, and supervise subcontractors, vendors, and trade partners.
• Develop and maintain short-term look-ahead schedules and monitor milestones.
• Inspect ongoing construction to ensure compliance with drawings, codes, and quality standards.
• Enforce jobsite safety procedures and OSHA compliance.
• Review drawings and submittals to identify conflicts and constructability issues.
• Coordinate RFIs with project managers and design teams and communicate field changes.
• Work with project managers, architects, engineers, and ownership to coordinate activities.
• Coordinate material procurement, deliveries, and site logistics.
• Coordinate municipal inspections, punch-list tracking, and project turnover.
• Maintain daily reports, site photos, manpower logs, and schedule updates.
