Job summary

The candidate should hold or be pursuing NC Standard Professional Educator's License, with a BA/BS from an accredited university and a track record of high student achievement or strong growth potential.

Qualifications

• All lead teachers must hold, or be working toward an NC Standard Professional Educator's License.
• Out-of-State license holders must apply for NC licensure.
• A BA/BS degree from an accredited college/university is required.
• Evidence of high-progress student outcomes or strong past academic achievement.
• Experience leading a team of adults with diverse backgrounds and strong collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Establishes each team member’s roles and goals annually.
• Collaborates with team to implement new ideas and provide feedback to the principal.
• Organizes the team to review student progress and adjust instruction for high progress.
• Coaches teammates and evaluates potential role changes and opportunities for advancement.
• Allocates instructional and non-instructional duties among team members.
• Models and assesses strategies for learning, social, emotional, and behavioral needs.
• Maintains district policies and records in compliance with timelines.
• Performs other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
