Job summary

WSN in New York, NY is seeking an Engineer to build a greenfield, multi-asset class Order Management System (OMS) that unifies equity, fixed income, options, futures, FX, alternatives, and cryptocurrency under one trading interface.

You will own the end-to-end architecture, from order routing to position management, custody integrations, and regulatory reporting, in a hands-on senior engineering role.

Qualifications

• 8+ years building production trading systems with live capital.
• Expert-level Python for business logic, data pipelines, and integration.
• Deep C++ experience for low-latency, high-reliability trading systems.
• Production experience with FIX protocol and exchange connectivity.
• Strong database expertise including PostgreSQL and time-series databases.
• Experience building real-time streaming data pipelines and materialized views.
• Strong financial markets domain knowledge: orders, venues, symbol mapping, actions.
• Operational risk management and monitoring for mission-critical systems.

Responsibilities

• Design and manage the full trade order lifecycle across multiple asset classes.
• Build and evolve a robust position management system.
• Integrate FIX protocol and vendor-specific trading APIs.
• Ingest and process market data, custody feeds, and execution reports.
• Evolve the platform from batch to intraday and real-time trading.
• Scale the system to handle high volumes of concurrent orders across accounts.
• Engineer for correctness, resiliency, operational safety, and failure recovery.
• Take ownership of operational risk in multi-billion-dollar trading activity.
