Job summary

61st Street Service Corporation is seeking a Lead MRI Technologist to lead MRI services, supervise technologists, and oversee QA. You will ensure high-quality imaging, patient safety, and regulatory compliance across multiple sites in the ColumbiaDoctors network.

The role requires 5+ years MRI experience (2+ in lead role), NYS license, ARRT MRI registry, and strong leadership. Weekend coverage and SOP updates are part of the duties, with a competitive salary and benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• NYS License and ARRT MRI Registry certification.
• New York BLS certification.
• Minimum 5 years MRI experience, including 2+ years in a lead role.
• Demonstrated leadership and communication skills.
• Experience developing Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).
• Willingness to provide coverage across multiple sites, including weekends.
• Proficiency with Electronic Health Systems and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and interact with staff across sites.
• Perform MRI and general radiological procedures with QA oversight.
• Review imaging requests and consult radiologists.
• Position patients and ensure safety throughout imaging.
• Maintain equipment and QA logs; support inspections.
• Coordinate staffing and technologist coverage.
• Support recruitment and performance reviews for MRI staff.
• Prepare and submit accreditation materials for MRI.
• Update SOPs and participate in inspections.
• Coordinate with vendors for equipment and training.
