Job summary

Brown University Health seeks an experienced MRI Technologist to perform advanced imaging procedures under supervision, serving as a lead resource and trainer for technologists and students. You will ensure high-quality imaging while maintaining safety and operational efficiency.

The role emphasizes instructing Radiology staff and students, coordinating clerical tasks, and upholding magnetic-field safety guidelines.

Qualifications

• MRI knowledge and ARRT/ARMRIT registration
• Current CPR certification (AHA/BLS)
• Experience with MRI procedures and evaluating performance of others
• Ability to troubleshoot MRI equipment and coordinate repairs

Responsibilities

• Performs MRI procedures including routine and complex imaging.
• Instructs Radiology students and employees in clinical procedures.
• Provides on-the-job instruction and may participate in in-service education.
• Manages inventory, statistics, and equipment checks.
• Ensures safety with regards to strong magnetic fields per safety guidelines.
• Leads in the absence of MRI Manager and reviews staff performance.
