Job summary

FCC Environmental Services, LLC is seeking an experienced 3rd Shift Supervisor - MRF Maintenance Technician to oversee maintenance and operation of equipment at our Material Recovery Facility. This role leads maintenance personnel and coordinates with operations, vendors, and suppliers to keep processing equipment reliable and up to date.

Qualifications

• Experience supervising or leading maintenance personnel in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
• Strong mechanical troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
• Experience with Conveyor systems, Motors and engines, Electrical systems and PLCs, Balers and compactors, Industrial processing equipment, Hydraulic and mechanical systems.
• Experience in fast-paced manufacturing, recycling, waste management, or industrial environments.
• Microsoft Excel proficiency required.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and leadership skills.
• Ability to work independently while leading a team.
• Prompt, professional, and dependable demeanor.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends or varying shifts.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain a comprehensive preventive maintenance program for MRF processing equipment.
• Schedule, coordinate, and manage daily, weekly, and long-term maintenance activities.
• Oversee maintenance and operation of engines, motors, tools, conveyors, balers, compactors, and production machinery.
• Perform and direct preventive maintenance and repairs per manuals and specs.
• Troubleshoot mechanical malfunctions and identify issues while equipment runs.
• Lead and manage maintenance personnel (FT, temporary, contract).
• Assign work, monitor performance, and ensure timely completion.
• Develop and maintain vendor and contractor relationships.
