Qualifications

  • Ability to read and interpret safety rules, engineering prints, and maintenance manuals.
  • Effective oral and written communication with team members and other departments.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving capabilities enabling quick and effective resolution of operational issues.
  • Leadership experience in managing teams or overseeing projects within a manufacturing or related environment is highly preferred.
  • Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and a continuous process improvement mindset.
  • A proactive approach to safety, quality, and efficiency, with personal accountability.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and coordinate staffing to meet production schedules and customer demands.
  • Coordinate onboarding and training while enforcing safety and quality standards.
  • Apply problem-solving techniques to maintain operational performance.
  • Escalate safety, quality, and process issues to the Production Supervisor.
  • Collaborate with Safety, Quality, Mfg Engineering, Production Planning, and Materials to resolve challenges.
  • Maintain and improve standard work procedures to boost productivity and quality.
  • Lead regular team meetings, performance reviews, and feedback sessions.
  • Drive continuous improvement and lean initiatives in daily work.
  • Champion 6S to keep workspaces organized and efficient.
  • Be an active member of the manufacturing production team.
  • Follow Quality System policies and ensure accurate documentation.
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment.

Key Job Responsibilities

As a Team Lead, your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Collaborating closely with supervisors and fellow team leads to strategically manage staffing levels and assignments to meet production schedules and customer demands efficiently.
  • Coordinating and supporting comprehensive onboarding and training programs, ensuring adherence to all safety protocols and quality standards.
  • Applying problem-solving techniques to maintain uninterrupted and efficient operational performance within your team.
  • Identifying and escalating safety, quality, and process issues promptly to the Production Supervisor.
  • Working alongside cross-functional teams including Safety, Quality, Manufacturing Engineering, Production Planning, and Materials Management to address and resolve operational challenges.
  • Maintaining and continuously improving standard work procedures to enhance productivity and quality.
  • Driving team communication through regular meetings, performance reviews, and feedback sessions to promote transparency and teamwork.
  • Leading continuous improvement initiatives and fostering lean manufacturing principles as part of daily work routines.
  • Championing 6S methodologies to create and sustain organized and efficient workspaces.
  • Participating actively as a vital member of the manufacturing production team across the site.
  • Strictly adhering to the company's Quality System policies and procedures and ensuring all relevant documentation is accurate and complete.
  • Maintaining a clean and safe working environment in compliance with regulatory and organizational standards.
Qualifications/Requirements
