Qualifications

• Masters in molecular biology or related field, or 5+ years in a molecular biology lab.
• General knowledge of molecular microbiology to perform testing procedures.
• Basic knowledge of food science to analyze microbiological content.
• Knowledge of GMP and ISO 17025 laboratory environments and safety policies.
• Independent analytical and troubleshooting skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform rapid and multi-step tests (gene sequencing, DNA subtyping, real-time PCR, NGS).
• Lead testing schedules and organize inventory to meet due dates.
• Verify results before client release and record/resolve discrepancies.
• Maintain knowledge of LIMS and document quality control procedures.
• Train analysts and participate in training programs.
• Maintain and sanitize the laboratory, equipment, and records according to GMP/ISO 17025.
