Tempus in Chicago seeks a capable Molecular Lab Manager to oversee daily NGS workflows, ensuring rapid turnaround and high-quality data. You'll lead a team and maintain CLIA/CAP compliance, while leveraging automation and robotics to standardize the discovery pipeline from sample acquisition to sequencing output.

Formación

• Requires MD/PhD/MS/BS with clinical lab experience and strong communication skills.
• Ability to delegate tasks and manage in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent teamwork and ability to plan and execute scientific programs.
• Attention to detail and commitment to safety in a CLIA/CAP lab.

Responsabilidades

• Provide daily oversight of molecular workflow to deliver high-quality sequencing data with rapid turnaround times.
• Monitor lab processes, quality control, instrument maintenance, and QA activities.
• Ensure remedial actions are taken when test systems deviate from specifications.
• Perform quality review for samples from extraction to sequencing.
• Maintain CLIA/CAP NYSDOH compliance and safety protocols.
• Schedule training and competency assessments for personnel.
• Mentor technologists and onboarding for new hires.
• Utilize automation and robotics to standardize the discovery pipeline.

Educación

MD + 1 year clinical lab experience

PhD (physical, chemical, or biological science) + 1 year clinical lab experience

BS (physical, chemical, or biological science) + 4 years of pertinent clinical lab experience
