Job summary

Leidos is hiring a Lead Modeling and Simulation Software Engineer with an active Secret clearance for our Beavercreek, Ohio office. The successful candidate will lead the integration of an infrared threat simulation into a multispectral few-on-few engagement simulation environment using C++ in a Linux-based framework.

You will collaborate with government and contractor teams, design and implement tools, and mentor engineers to deliver reliable simulations on schedule.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CS, CE, EE or related field with 5+ years of experience or an MS degree in CS/CE/EE or related field.
• Experience with C++, Linux.
• Experience with modeling and simulation (M&S) techniques.
• Excellent English-language written and verbal communication.
• Strong emphasis on writing ability.
• Great people skills and the desire to work with technical teams.

Responsibilities

• Integrate an infrared threat simulation into a multispectral, C++-based simulation environment.
• Lead a team of engineers and manage tasking.
• Collaborate with government and contractor personnel.
• Design and implement tools that support the multispectral simulation.
• Test, evaluate, and provide feedback to development teams.
• Prepare documentation requested by the government customer.
