Job summary

Penske Entertainment in Indianapolis is seeking an Engineer in Charge to lead the operation, upkeep, and performance of our mobile unit for remote productions. You will supervise the technical crew, ensure smooth production, and deliver high-quality experiences for fans, partners, and teams.

The role requires 5–7 years of mobile-unit engineering experience, deep knowledge of broadcast systems, and strong leadership.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED is required.
Experience leading mobile unit remote production operations.
Knowledge of 2110 standards and applications.
Ability to supervise crews and work under pressure.
Strong communication and client-service focus.

Responsibilities

Maintain the interior and exterior of the mobile unit, ensuring all systems are operational.
Install, maintain, and repair all unit systems.
Review and confirm remote orders at least 72 hours prior to events, resolving discrepancies in advance.
Provide timely and accurate technical reports within 24 hours of event completion.
Train and mentor new engineers and drivers.
Lead the technical crew on-site, assisting with IMSP-owned or rented equipment.
Support production staff with event setup and execution.
Serve as IMSP's on-site representative, aligning with company values and interests.
