Job summary

The Shade Store is seeking a Lead Machine Learning Engineer to own the ML capability end-to-end on the Data & Analytics team. You’ll build data foundations, feature stores, and models that drive forecasting, routing, and optimization for customer interactions.

You’ll work across legacy MySQL systems to Snowflake, applying MLOps practices while communicating with C‑suite stakeholders. This is a remote role with high agency and impact.

Qualifications

• 5-10+ years of software and/or ML engineering experience with production models.
• 2-3+ years of productionizing ML/AI products.
• End-to-end ML path: feature engineering, offline/online training, monitoring, retraining.

Responsibilities

• Own data foundations and feature stores end-to-end.
• Lead model development from spec to deployment with auditability.
• Define performance metrics in business terms and monitor after launch.
• Collaborate with Data, Analytics, and AI Engineering on standards.
• Mentor engineers and establish reusable ML patterns.
