Qualifications

• Masters or PhD in science or engineering with outstanding academic performance.
• Strong background in applied math and numerical methods.
• Background in earth sciences or civil engineering; contaminant transport preferred.
• Extensive C++ programming experience in scientific apps.
• Ability to design practical numerical solutions.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Experience with MATLAB, R, or Tableau is a plus.
• Experience applying AI/ML to scientific software is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with software engineers to integrate numerical capabilities.
• Partner with the founding engineer to formalize modeling QA and support methodology.
• Own numerical and algorithmic components of the framework.
• Build documentation and transfer knowledge across teams.
• Support collaboration with customers and stakeholders.
