Job summary

American Restoration is seeking a Lead Mitigation Technician to oversee water, fire, and mold mitigation projects from start to finish. You will coordinate field crews, communicate with homeowners and project managers, and ensure timely documentation.

The role demands leadership, safety discipline, and the ability to lift heavy loads while operating moisture meters, dehumidifiers, air movers, and other tools. IICRC WRT certification and a clean driving record are a plus.

Qualifications

• 2 years minimum of experience in mitigation, restoration, or related field.
• IICRC WRT certification preferred.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Ability to lift 50+ lbs, work in confined spaces, and perform physically demanding tasks.
• Proficiency with mobile apps or job-tracking software (e.g., Dash, Xactimate).

Responsibilities

• Lead and perform water, fire, mold, and environmental mitigation services.
• Assess damages, determine scope of work, and recommend mitigation strategies.
• Set up, monitor, and maintain mitigation equipment (dehumidifiers, air movers, air scrubbers).
• Ensure all work complies with IICRC standards and company protocols.
• Guide and train technicians in mitigation techniques and safety procedures.
• Assign daily tasks and oversee productivity and workflow on job sites.
• Explain processes and timelines to customers and maintain relationships with homeowners, insurers, and project managers.
• Complete and upload job documentation (moisture readings, photos, notes).
• Maintain accurate records of equipment usage and job progress.
