Job summary

Restoration 1 New Jersey in Denville, NJ is seeking an experienced Lead Mitigation Technician / Crew Chief to lead field mitigation projects from the company van. The role involves hands-on water extraction, demolition, and drying, with responsibility for project setup, documentation, and customer communication.

The ideal candidate has prior water damage mitigation experience, an independent work style, and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• Hands-on mitigation experience with leadership responsibility
• Ability to manage a project truck and equipment
• Valid driver’s license with good driving record
• Experience with water extraction and structural drying
• IICRC certifications preferred (WRT/others)

Responsibilities

• Drive company vehicle to projects and perform mitigation work
• Set up containment and protect jobsite
• Operate drying equipment and monitor progress
• Document work with photos and reports
• Communicate progress to Project Manager and customers
• Keep truck, tools, and equipment organized and maintained
• Assist on larger projects with a helper when needed
• Occasional after-hours emergency response
