Job summary

Alert Disaster Restoration is seeking a Lead Mitigation Technician to lead on-site response for water, fire, mold, and storm events. You will support the Reconstruction team and assist Project Managers as needed, ensuring safety and client satisfaction.

Responsibilities include leading crews, operating drying equipment, performing moisture mapping, and coordinating with subcontractors. This full-time role requires occasional after-hours on-call coverage in Hanford, CA.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
• Ability to perform demolition work including in restricted spaces.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Lead Crews with onsite responsibilities.
• Disaster response, emergency mitigation, water extraction, drying, and demolition.
• Set dehumidifiers, fans and air purifiers at the site.
• Moisture mapping and loss documentation using MICA and other software.
• Initial loss inspection.
• Remove drywall, carpets, insulation, and perform demolition.
• On-site customer contact to address needs.
• On-call as Lead Technician for Hanford Branch (rotating).
• Drive company vehicles; operate trucks and trailers.
• Rotate into Pressure Washing Team as needed.
• Reconstruction duties: minor repairs, material transport, signatures, subcontractor meetings, photo documentation.
• No Project Superintendent responsibilities.
• Other duties as assigned.

Job description

Lead Mitigation Technician

position will be critical in cleanup and mitigation services to residential and commercial properties due to water, fire, mold, storm, or other disasters. Additionally, the role includes a support role for the Reconstruction team in an assistant capacity for Project Managers and Superintendents as needed.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Lead Crews with onsite responsibilities.
• Perform disaster response, emergency mitigation, water extraction, structural drying, and demolition, following IICRC standards.
• Set dehumidifiers, fans, air purifiers, and other equipment at the work site, ensuring proper setup and removal.
• Perform moisture mapping and loss documentation, utilizing MICA and other proprietary software.
• Perform initial loss inspection.
• Remove drywall, carpets, insulation, etc. and perform general demolition after a loss.
• Act as daily on-site contact for the customer, ensuring their needs are met and questions are answered.
• Requires being on call as the Lead Technician for the Hanford Branch Location on a rotating scheduled (every other week) after normal business hours.
• Drive company vehicles, including trucks, trailers, and other machinery.
• Rotated as needed into Pressure Washing Team
• Reconstruction departmental responsibilities would include:
• Performing minor repairs
• Picking up and delivering materials
• Obtaining customer signatures
• Meeting subcontractors onsite for walkthroughs
• Documenting subcontractor work with photos throughout the project
• No Project Superintendent Responsibilities
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license and satisfactory driving record.
• Ability to perform demolition work, including climbing, working in extreme temperatures, and in confined spaces.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs
• IICRC Certificated in WRT and Mold preferred, not required.
• Bilingual preferred, not required.

Hours

Full-Time, Monday to Friday 8am to 4:30pm (30 min lunch), optional overtime included with pre-approval from Hanford Branch Manager or as scheduled by Dispatch and Scheduling Department.

• Participate on our 24 hours on call rotation, responding to emergency losses after hours and on weekends, as dictated by the on-call schedule.
