Job summary

The Boeing Company is seeking a Mission Systems Lead Software Architect to join the Air Proprietary 2 Mission Systems team in Berkeley, MO. You will define and own the software architecture for Mission Systems, guiding design decisions across multiple security levels and suppliers.

You will lead architecture roadmaps, approve development plans, ensure conformance to standards, mentor teams, and coordinate across platforms, product teams and customers to ensure mission readiness.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree.
• 7+ years programming in C, C++ or C#.
• 5+ years software development, systems engineering or integrations on mission systems.
• 5+ years software architecture and embedded software design.
• 3+ years leading software projects or technical teams.
• 3+ years requirements, design, development and test of software products.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain the Mission Systems software architecture roadmap and vision with key architects.
• Lead and approve the software development plan including architecture, components and milestones.
• Ensure teams document and maintain architecture, requirements, interfaces and designs.
• Ensure teams implement designs, meet acceptance criteria, and follow coding standards.
• Design and support the containerized software architecture.
• Evaluate supplier performance for conformance to roadmaps and standards.
• Coordinate system-level integration and test with teams and customers.
• Coordinate across Mission Systems, Supply Chain and Digital Engineering teams.
• Train and mentor others in architecture and processes.
• Provide technical leadership across multidisciplinary teams.
• Drive documentation for program reviews and customer deliverables.
