Job summary

The Boeing Company is seeking a Mission Systems Lead Software Architect to guide the overall software architecture for the Mission Systems solution. This role serves as the primary technical contact across multiple security levels and suppliers, coordinating with engineering, customers, and program leadership to ensure mission readiness.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• 7+ years’ experience programming in C, C++ or C#.
• 5+ years in software development, systems engineering or integrations/test for mission systems on tactical platforms.
• 5+ years in software architecture and design of embedded software systems.
• 3+ years leading software-related projects or technical teams.
• 3+ years’ experience with requirements, design, development and test of software systems products.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain the Mission Systems software architecture roadmap and vision with key architects.
• Lead and approve the software development plan, architecture and milestones.
• Ensure teams document and maintain architecture, requirements, interfaces and designs.
• Ensure implementation meets coding standards and SW processes.
• Design and support containerized software architecture.
• Evaluate supplier performance for conformance to roadmaps and contracts.
• Coordinate across Mission Systems, Supply Chain and Digital Engineering teams.
• Train and mentor team members.
