Job summary

Antares is seeking a Senior Mission Engineer to lead multi-domain mission programs across commercial, defense, and space systems. The role blends engineering rigor with customer-facing program execution, driving the full lifecycle from concept to end of life to meet mission needs.

The candidate will own system integration, develop quantitative models, and work across disciplines with DoD/DOE/government sponsors. Travel to mission locations is required; Top Secret clearance preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, physics, or applied science.
• 5+ years of experience delivering technically complex systems in aerospace, nuclear, energy, defense, or mission-critical environments.
• Exceptional technical writing and communication skills with ability to synthesize multidisciplinary work for customers.

Responsibilities

• Lead execution of customer-facing and funded R&D programs, owning cost, schedule, quality, and milestones.
• Translate customer needs into technical requirements and coordinate cross-disciplinary engineering to close gaps.
• Drive product development to ensure Antares systems can be transported, deployed, and operated in customer environments.
• Own mission-level product integration across the lifecycle, balancing requirements, interfaces, and development priorities.
• Perform first-principles analyses and develop models to evaluate trade spaces and mission impacts.
• Develop new applications and customer missions, supporting RFIs, proposals, and contract capture with technical concepts.
