Job summary

GEO Corrections & Detentions is seeking a Lead MIS Specialist to provide management and technical expertise to the MIS division and second-line support to facility users. The role supports, advises, and maintains computer operations, including telecom, computing, and network administration.

You will supervise staff, ensure coverage and contractual compliance, perform first-line support, troubleshoot hardware and software, manage inventory, generate reports with Crystal Reports, and coordinate

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field; minimum of five years in a related role with hardware/software operations.
Demonstrated lead worker or supervisory experience.
Ability to identify and solve computer problems and work with a wide variety of staff and vendors.

Responsibilities

Provide management and technical expertise to the MIS division and second-level support for facility users.
Ensure staff coverage, call levels, and contractual compliance during operations.
Offer first-line support for all aspects of the facility's IT infrastructure in person, over the phone, and via remote connection.
Troubleshoot software and hardware issues and escalate complex faults to Regional support as needed.
Create, modify, and produce reports using Crystal Reports on GEOnet system and monitor backups and security.
