Job summary

Austin Powder Company seeks a Western Mining Technical Services Manager to lead our technical products and services for the Western US mining markets. You will oversee blast design, product selection, surveying, post-blast analysis, and related services across surface and underground operations.

You will collaborate with local, regional and corporate teams, ensuring safety and regulatory compliance while expanding our underground market share. Travel up to 75% is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mining Engineering is preferred.
• 10+ years as a mining engineer, explosives engineer, drill & blast engineer, or related role.
• Willing to travel up to 75% overnight.
• Strong knowledge of surface and underground mining methods.
• Ability to obtain state blasting licensure and ATF explosive handling clearance.

Responsibilities

• Lead identification, vetting, development of technical products and services for Western US mining markets.
• Provide blast design, product selection, surveying, post-blast analysis, blast optimization, mine planning, and related services.
• Collaborate with sales, regional and corporate teams to meet customer demands and improve profitability.
• Develop and mentor technical service representatives across teams.
• Ensure safety culture and regulatory compliance across projects.
