Job summary

MEI is seeking an experienced Millwright in Atlanta, GA to build, repair, and maintain machinery across factory and site environments. Responsibilities include installing and aligning equipment, rigging loads, and ensuring safety and reliability through thorough testing and communication with the team.

The role requires at least 4 years of experience, a high school diploma or equivalent, and strong knowledge of blueprint reading, measuring tools, and safety protocols.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or equivalent necessary.
• Four (4) years of experience required.
• Able to give clear direction, supervise and/or oversee the work of others.
• Read blueprints, schematics, or technical manuals as required.
• Ability to use precision measuring tools and equipment including hand, power, and pneumatic tools.
• Correctly estimate weight-bearing ability of tools and equipment.
• Familiar with various hand or flag signals including the use and meaning.
• Willing to learn, know, and follow safety requirements.
• Valid driver’s license may be required for certain positions.

Responsibilities

• Installs and maintains machinery and equipment using hoists, lift trucks, hand tools, and power tools.
• Align machines and equipment using hoists, jacks, hand tools, and measuring devices.
• Dismantle machinery and equipment for shipment to installation site.
• Construct foundation for machines using hand tools and building materials.
• Test rigging to ensure safety and reliability.
• Signal or verbally direct workers engaged in hoisting and moving loads.
