Job summary

IMI Industrial Services Group is seeking a full-time Millwright Foreman local to the Augusta, GA area. The role leads a crew in laying out, fabricating, aligning, installing and repairing equipment in industrial settings.

The candidate should have 3+ years of experience with NCCER/AWS credentials preferred and be safety-conscious, able to work indoors/outdoors, and willing to climb and lift up to 50 pounds with proper assistance.

Qualifications

• Leadership experience supervising trades staff
• Ability to read and interpret drawings and blueprints
• Strong mathematical skills for shop calculations

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and act as Quality Lead to supervise staff laying out, fabricating, aligning, joining, installing, repairing and welding materials
• Apply basic arithmetic to work situations and verify quantities
• Serve as liaison between customers, vendors, project managers and crew
• Assist workers and inspect quality of all work performed
• Analyze and resolve work-related problems and adjust plans as needed
• Review materials received and inspect equipment for proper working condition
• Maintain production time tracking and adjust crew schedules to meet deadlines
• Install, repair, and maintain machinery per construction plans using hoists, lifts, hand tools and power tools
• Assemble equipment such as shafting, conveyors, gearboxes and pumps
• Align machines using hoists, jacks, micrometers and other precision tools
