Job summary

KBR is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor for the Marine Corps Prepositioning Program in Jacksonville, FL. Lead day-to-day activities of maintenance teams, implement training, and drive production standards while aligning with department goals.

You will ensure equipment readiness, supervise automotive mechanics, and coordinate with other departments to meet safety and regulatory requirements. A strong background in motor transport and compliance is essential.

Qualifications

• Must be able to pass a U.S. Government background investigation and obtain a Secret Clearance
• Associate degree or equivalent in mechanical engineering or related field is preferred or equivalent experience
• 8 years of directly related work experience including 2 years of supervisory experience in a motor transport environment
• Completion of the motor transport maintenance officer course or equivalent
• Ability to review and apply technical specifications and requirements
• Ability to analyze equipment and forecast spare parts requirements
• Ability to analyze maintenance/repair operations to determine improvement opportunities
• Strong written and oral communication skills

Responsibilities

• Supervises and coordinates activities of mechanics performing automotive maintenance and repair on light/medium wheeled vehicles
• Oversees repair, servicing, and storage of motor vehicles
• Manages equipment readiness, shop organization, and maintenance assets
• Ensures mechanics are trained in maintenance functions
• Determines work sequence based on priority to optimize equipment and personnel use
• Maintains inventory of repair parts and requisitions replacements
• Interprets specifications, drawings, work orders, and layouts
• Coordinates department activities with other departments
• Ensures compliance with policies, procedures, and governmental regulations
• Ensures safety requirements are followed
• Manages workspace administration for motor transport equipment repair
• Recommends procedural changes
• Complies with MCPP ISO-9002 policies and procedures
• Performs other related duties as assigned
