Job summary

HF Sinclair Midstream is seeking a Project Engineer to lead engineering, design, construction, and modification of crude and refined product pipelines and terminal facilities. You will provide technical leadership across the full project lifecycle to ensure safe, reliable operations and regulatory compliance.

The role requires eight years of progressive pipeline/terminal experience, PE registration preferred, and collaboration with operations and stakeholders to optimize performance.

Qualifications

• Technical expert in area of specialty with strong analytical knowledge.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft products and engineering concepts.
• Experience with engineering software.
• Advanced reading and writing skills with ability to perform complex calculations.

Responsibilities

• Apply ASME B31.3, B31.4, 49 CFR 195, HFSM & API standards to pipelines and terminals.
• Develop project scopes, budgets, schedules, and supporting technical documentation.
• Produce and review engineering drawings, calculations, and equipment specifications.
• Integrate instrumentation, controls, SCADA, leak-detection systems, and operational data.
• Produce high-quality engineered project budget estimates from under $100,000 to over $10,000,000.
• Deliver projects from concept through detailed design, construction, commissioning, and turnover; manage EPC firms and multidisciplinary teams.
• Support PHA/HAZOP, MOC, incident investigations, and PSSR.
