Swoon is actively seeking a Lead Middleware Apigee Engineer to join the team!

Responsibilities

• Be a subject matter expert for implementation and ongoing support of Middleware integration technologies in production, non-production legacy and container-based environments.
• Configure production, development, and testing environment
• Write complex automation scripts using Ansible or Jenkins
• Design disaster recovery solutions for middleware technologies to comply with business continuity objectives
• Resolve complex support issues in both production and non-production environments, assist in debugging middleware application defects, and create procedural and troubleshooting documentation
• Excellent problem-solving skills and able to work independently to prioritize tasks
• Work well in a crisis situations

What’s Required? / Technical Skills

• 7+ years of experience of middleware experience
• 5+ years of experience in Apigee
• 5+ years of experience in containerization – IBM Sterline Suite, Kubernetes, or Consul
• 5+ years of experience in Nginx experience
• J2EE application services in containers and legacy systems
• Experience in message-oriented middleware in Kafka and MQ preferred
• Strong CI/CD experience using Ansible and Terraform
• Leadership – coaching and training others, strong communicator, highly collaborative

Education / Certifications

• Bachelor’s Degree Required
• Cloud certification is a plus

Salary: $130,000 - $160,000 + 15% annual bonus
