Position Details

Location: Dallas, TX - On site 3 days a week

Provide subject matter expertise for the implementation and ongoing support of Middleware integration technologies in production, non-production, legacy, and container-based environments.

Provide technical expertise to Middleware staff. Must have experience with Apigee and Nginx.

Responsibilities

1. Install, configure, and maintain third-party middleware software components on multiple operating systems using Terraform, Ansible, and GIT/ops.
2. Use subject matter expertise to advise on design and assist with application development using these tools.
3. Configure environments and ensure the availability of application services.
4. Write complex automation scripts with tools like Jenkins and Ansible.
5. Perform performance tuning of components and services.
6. Design disaster recovery solutions to meet business continuity objectives.
7. Resolve configuration issues and support complex support problems in production and non-production environments.

Qualifications

Technical Skills

• Experience in designing, deploying, and orchestrating Apigee and Nginx installations/upgrades using Terraform, Ansible, GitOps on Kubernetes clusters.
• Strong experience with Terraform and Ansible for Middleware deployment.
• Experience configuring proxies on Apigee and rerouting APIs/UI on Nginx.
• Knowledge of disaster recovery, failover planning, and complex application implementation.
• Experience with CI/CD stacks including Harness, Artifactory, and HashiCorp Vault.
• Troubleshooting proxy issues related to Apigee, Nginx, and other middleware.
• Supporting applications on Rancher and OpenShift environments.
• Operational and environmental provisioning with Jenkins pipelines.
• Systems administration, change management, J2EE services in containers and legacy systems, web technologies, scripting, cloud-native applications, file transfer protocols, encryption technologies, security controls.

Education and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in a related field.
• 7-10 years of related experience, including at least 7 years in a multi-platform environment and 4 years supporting middleware technologies.
