Job summary

South Asian Youth Action (SAYA) in Elmhurst, NY seeks a Program Coordinator to support the middle school after-school program. You will organize daily programming, events, and trips, collaborating with school staff, partners, and families to ensure a safe, engaging environment.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's degree with two years in education or youth development, strong communication, and administrative skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree required with two years of relevant experience.
• Strong computer skills with Microsoft Office and Google Drive.
• Experience in administration, data entry, and program support.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent written and oral communication; strong organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Support the Program Director with daily program operations.
• Oversee recruitment and registration for new and returning students.
• Update funder databases weekly to keep attendance and scheduling current.
• Maintain participant intake forms and emergency contacts.
• Coordinate special events, meals, materials, and promotions.
• Foster relationships with youth, families, and school staff.
• Supervise staff and support their professional development.
