Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Education or equivalent required.
• State Teacher Certification required.
• Specialty or highly qualified credential preferred.
• 1–3 years of teaching experience; urban experience a plus.
• Experience with urban communities.
• Strong instructional and classroom management skills.
• Experience with Microsoft Office tools for classroom use.

Responsibilities

• Establish a positive, achievement-oriented and structured learning environment.
• Develop and implement daily instruction plans as part of long-range goals.
• Employ a variety of differentiated instructional strategies for active learning.
• Conduct interim assessments, track progress, and analyze data.
• Maintain accurate records including attendance, behavior, and progress reports.
• Provide governance and supervise scholar safety during campus activities.
• Lead or assist with after-school activities and programs.
