Job summary

Eurofins USA BioPharma Services in Portage, MI seeks a technically skilled group leader for microbial testing programs. You will apply GMP/GLP, oversee investigations, and ensure compliance with USP, ICH and Ph. Eur.

guidelines while driving LEAN improvements. Responsibilities include mentoring staff, coordinating workflow, conducting performance reviews, and supporting audits. Requires a Bachelor’s in chemistry/biology and extensive experience in aseptic techniques, MLT and endotoxin testing.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in chemistry, biology, biochemistry or related field required.
• Extensive knowledge of aseptic techniques and microbial testing methods required.
• Experience with USP testing areas and regulatory guidelines preferred.
• Ability to conduct laboratory investigations and support audit responses.

Responsibilities

• Apply GMP/GLP in all areas of responsibility and promote the company vision.
• Lead and mentor team; perform performance reviews and succession planning.
• Coordinate workflow, monitor daily operations, and ensure safety compliance.
• Drive operational improvements and LEAN initiatives across the department.
• Support and respond to client needs and regulatory inspections.
• Conduct investigations and provide technical leadership for complex projects.
• Train staff and maintain training records; manage time-entry and productivity.
• Ensure adherence to state and federal employment regulations and quality policies.
• Participate in pricing/catalog evaluation and develop cost-effective solutions.
