Job summary

Eurofins USA BioPharma Services in Portage, MI is seeking a Senior Scientific Group Leader III to oversee microbiology and analytical testing operations. You will lead a team, drive process improvements, and ensure compliance with GMP/GLP, USP, ICH and Ph. Eur. standards.

The role emphasizes mentoring, coordination of workflow, and independent handling of complex investigations and audits, with responsibilities across quality assurance and client service support.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in chemistry, biology, biochemistry or related field required.
• Extensive knowledge of aseptic techniques and microbial testing (MLT, endotoxin, sterility, EM).
• Strong understanding of USP/ICH/Ph. Eur. regulations related to microbial testing.

Responsibilities

• Lead lab team in GMP/GLP environment and ensure quality policy adherence.
• Coordinate workflow and daily monitoring; perform performance reviews and training.
• Mentor staff and develop individuals; drive operational improvements and LEAN initiatives.
• Independently lead complex investigations and support audit responses.
