Job summary

Eurofins USA BioPharma Services in Portage, MI, seeks a Scientific Group Leader III to oversee GMP/GLP-regulated operations and mentor staff across microbial testing programs. You will manage audits, lead complex investigations, and drive continuous improvements within a high‑quality lab environment.

Ideal candidates hold a chemistry/biology/biochemistry degree with strong regulatory knowledge and experience in aseptic techniques, microbial limits, endotoxin, and sterility testing.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in chemistry, biology, biochemistry or related degree concentration.
• Extensive knowledge of aseptic techniques, microbial limits testing, endotoxin, sterility, environmental monitoring, and identification.
• Strong understanding of USP, ICH, and Ph. Eur. regulations related to microbial testing.
• Experience in conducting laboratory investigations and supporting audit responses.

Responsibilities

• Applies GMP/GLP in all areas of responsibility, as appropriate.
• Demonstrates and promotes the company vision.

• Perform work for routine and non-routine tasks as specified by the technical job description.
• Develop and implement operational improvements.
• Supervise others in performing client’s service requirements.

• Conduct semiannual performance reviews and interviews, maintain training records.
• Confront and address problems, concerns, and performance issues.
• Coach and develop individuals and team to maximize performance.
• Foster motivation and morale.
• Monitor and approve employees’ time worked through time-entry system.
• Support company policies and procedures and leadership training needs.
• Perform all functions to ensure smooth operation and compliance with regulations.
