Job summary

U.S. Water Services Corporation is seeking a Lead Technician to supervise daily customer service and utility billing-related field operations.

The role includes managing meter reading routes, service orders, and maintenance tasks, with focus on accuracy, safety, and high-quality customer interactions. The ideal candidate has 3 years of utility experience with supervisory duties, knowledge of meter systems, and the ability to train staff while achieving KPIs.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Three years of utility-related experience with supervisory responsibilities.
• Strong knowledge of meter service, installation, and testing.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily field service activities in Customer Service.
• Coordinate meter reading routes and service orders.
• Interact with customers by phone, in person, and in writing.
• Ensure staffing aligns with workload and KPIs.
• Train, coach and evaluate staff; enforce company policies.
• Meet KPI targets such as service order completion and billing accuracy.
• Enforce safety and traffic management while performing duties.
• Review reports and address inconsistencies affecting billing.
