Job summary

Hoar is seeking a Project Manager - Mechanical/Plumbing to oversee construction projects in collaboration with the Superintendent. Responsibilities include scheduling, budgeting, quality and safety management, subcontractor coordination, and client communications.

The role requires managing submittals, procurement, and risk, with emphasis on risk mitigation and timely contract administration across mechanical and plumbing scopes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Building Science, Construction Management, Civil Engineering or related field required.
• 5-8 years of experience in large, complex facility construction and on-site management experience required; mixed-use/office construction preferred.
• Detailed knowledge of construction process, budgeting, accounting and procurement to manage projects.

Responsibilities

• Attend planning and project status meetings.
• Develop and maintain the project plan with summaries, projections, change orders and pricing for owners and subcontractors.
• Manage administration, correspondence and contract documents.
• Develop industry relationships to generate future opportunities.
• Maintain understanding of contract documents and job cost reporting.
• Oversee submittals, procurement, and quality control of mechanical/plumbing scopes.
• Coordinate material delivery and site logistics.
• Lead owner-architect-contractor meetings to monitor status and plan.
