Job summary

RCMA is seeking a Mentor Teacher for our Florida centers. The role leads early childhood education teams, guides curriculum implementation, and supports family-centered services in pursuit of RCMA's mission.

Qualifications include an AS Degree in Early Childhood Education or Child Development, mandatory 45-hour DCF training, transcripts, and Level 2 background screening. This is a full-time, on-site position with RCMA benefits.

Qualifications

• AS Degree in Early Childhood Education or Child Development.
• Transcripts must be submitted for review.
• Level 2 fingerprint-based background screening is required.

Responsibilities

• Plan, implement and track professional development goals using myHeadStart for education staff and volunteers in the classroom.
• Plan PD activities to implement a high quality early childhood program using the HighScope curriculum; mentor teacher uses peer mentoring.
• Provide PD for teachers to conduct developmental screenings and refer for disability services with Inclusion Specialist support.
• Provide PD for teachers to complete ongoing Child Assessments using the COR.
• Use HighScope training to implement a HighScope Curriculum with the Wheel of Learning for infants/toddlers and preschool.
• Provide PD to ensure a healthy, safe, and supportive learning environment for children.
• Support transitions for children between classrooms, home, and kindergarten with professional development.
• Commit to professionalism and RCMA; adhere to RCMA funding and DCF requirements.
