Job summary

Heritage Communities is seeking a Lead Medication Aide (CMA) in Memory Support at our Omaha, NE campus. This role blends hands-on care with team leadership to enhance residents' daily living and safety.

You will administer medications, supervise a shift, and collaborate with an on-call nurse, while upholding state regulations, care plans, and company policies. It’s a hands-on position for seasoned CNAs with CMA credentials.

Qualifications

• 2+ years as a certified caregiver in a senior living environment.
• 2+ years as a medication tech in memory support or related setting.
• 1+ year of supervisory experience guiding a team.
• Active state CNA and 40-hour CMA certifications with a clean record.
• Current CPR/BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Work evening shifts in Memory Support, weekdays, every other weekend, and holiday rotation.
• Provide compassionate, hands-on assistance with personal care and daily activities.
• Lead shift by guiding associates, managing resident needs, completing reports, and coordinating with the on-call nurse.
• Administer medications accurately per physician orders and company policies, maintaining precise records.
• Uphold standards by aligning services with Resident Service Agreements, policies, and state regulations.

What You’ll Do:

As a Lead Medication Aide (CMA) for Memory Support, you’ll play a hands‑on role in improving the lives of our residents by:

• Working evening shifts in our Memory Support department on weekdays, every other weekend, and a holiday rotation.
• Providing compassionate, hands‑on assistance with personal care and daily activities such as bathing, grooming, dressing, and meals.
• Leading your shift by guiding fellow associates, managing resident needs, completing reports, and serving as the point of contact for the on‑call nurse.
• Administering medications accurately in accordance with physician orders and company policies, while maintaining precise records for each resident.
• Upholding the highest standards of care by ensuring all services are provided in line with Resident Service Agreements, company policies, and state regulations.
• Building positive, trusting relationships with residents, their families, and your team members.

Requirements

What We’re Looking For:

• Availability to work a schedule that includes evening shifts, every other weekend, and a holiday rotation.
• 2+ years of experience as a certified caregiver and 2+ years of experience as a medication tech in a senior living or related industry.
• A proven leader with 1+ years of experience in a supervisory role.
• Active state-required CNA and 40‑hour CMA certifications with an acceptable record.
• A current CPR/BLS certification.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to connect effectively with residents, families, and colleagues.
